Access Statement
Green Door Cottages are a courtyard complex of 18th century buildings, including cottages and a converted traditional cob barn let as holiday accommodation located 50 metres from the beach at Port Gaverne.Tregudda Apartments are two holiday apartments in an elevated position overlooking Port Gaverne. All our accommodation is self catering.

Pre-Arrival

Nearest Rail link is 18 miles away (Bodmin Parkway). Buses run from Bodmin Parkway to Port Gaverne: Western Greyhound (555) to Wadebridge then (584) to Port Gaverne.
Regular bus services to within 50metres of the Green Door Cottages.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
There is a private car park for the use of our guests, approximately 75 metres from the cottages and directly outside Tregudda Apartments. Some cottages have parking directly outside the property (see individual sections). Local shops can be found in Port Isaac (half a mile away). Pub & Restaurant directly opposite and in Port Isaac.
1 cash point available in Port Isaac at the Co-op.
Marigold, Torca, Courtyard, Venus - Self Catering
Each property sleeps 4 – 1 double and 1 twin bedroom & 1 bathroom with shower over the bath. These properties have two storeys and are set out 'upside-down'. Pick up/drop off directly outside the front entrance. Access to the front door is via slate steps into an open-plan living/dining/kitchen room and a wood burning stove (not enclosed by safety cage). Stairs take you down to the bathroom and the bedrooms. Stairgates are fitted at the top of each staircase. The cottages have a patio door from one of the bedrooms downstairs leading directly into the courtyard garden (some have level access, some have a step down to the courtyard area). Venus has a private balcony enclosed with wrought iron railings upstairs (access - a step down from the living room area), and the bedroom patio doors lead out onto part of the pubs’ beer garden (level access). There is parking in the private car park nearby.
Rose – self catering
Sleeps 4 – 1 double and 1 twin bedroom & 1 bathroom with shower over the bath.
Rose is a single-storey cottage, with access to its own private rear garden . Rose has an open-plan living / dining / kitchen room.The double bedroom window looks out onto the courtyard garden. The twin bedroom, which faces the rear garden, has a large window with window seat.
Rose can be accessed from the courtyard (no steps), or through the rear garden with steps up to the property. Parking is in the private car park (accessed through rear garden).
Thrift and Rashleigh – self catering
Rashleigh and Thrift were originally part of a large cob barn. Both properties are single storey with slate kitchen floors.
Thrift - sleeps 2 (1 double bedroom) with shower room (no bath). Thrift is the smallest of our properties. Access is through the courtyard garden (no direct access from the road). Parking is in the private car park nearby.
Rashleigh - sleeps 6 (2 doubles, 1 twin bedroom) with shower room and separate second toilet (no bath).
Rashleigh has a spacious feel and, with its open-plan living/dining/kitchen room can accommodate wheelchair users. A patio door from the landing leads directly into the garden (small step down). There is parking just outside the property, and a disabled ramp up to the front entrance.
Jasmine – self catering
Sleeps 3 – 1 double and 1 single bedroom & 1 bathroom with shower over bath.
Jasmine is single storey, with open plan living/dining/kitchen room and bedrooms and bathroom leading off. The bedroom and living rooms windows face onto the courtyard garden. Parking is directly outside with level access to the property.
External Areas
Access to the courtyard is over gravel chippings. The courtyard garden is made up of a level grassed area with flower borders and a sandpit. The pathways are made mostly of random slate paving. There is a small step down to the grassed area. There is external lighting in the courtyard which is lit automatically during hours of darkness.
Tregudda Apartments – self catering
Each apartment sleeps 8 – 2 doubles, 1 twin bedroom & 1 set of bunk-beds. Upper Tregudda has 2 bathrooms (1 en suite with shower). Lower Tregudda has 2 bathrooms (1 en suite with bath and shower over) and a third shower room.
Upper Tregudda holiday apartment on the first floor, has a large sitting room. There is also a kitchen (step down into the kitchen) and dining room. The sitting room, dining room and master bedroom have French windows opening onto a large, sea-facing balcony (enclosed with wrought iron railings) which runs along the front of the property. Access is via a number of concrete steps which turn a corner half way up. Parking is in the driveway outside the property.
Lower Tregudda is a ground floor apartment with large sitting room. There is also a kitchen/dining room, The master bedroom and sitting room have French doors leading directly onto the slate paved patio area and garden. The apartment is all on one level, however there is a step leading from the driveway to the patio area directly outside the front door. Parking is directly outside the property.
External area
Direct access from Lower Tregudda and down steps from Upper Tregudda to the private garden. The garden is a level grassed area to the front of the property looking directly out to sea and drops steeply away at the end of the garden. There is some fencing at the end of the garden but there is a pathway and steps leading directly down to the road which are down a steep slope. Access with a car is up a very steep and narrow slope (to the left of the Port Gaverne Hotel). The driveway is adjacent to the garden with no fencing between. There is good external lighting which is activated by movement sensor at night.
Additional information
Well behaved dogs are very welcome in our properties at no extra charge Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in any of the garden areas, and are not allowed on furniture or beds.
No smoking
Smoke alarms fitted.
Evacuation procedures shown in guest welcome folders in each property.
Mobile phone reception is poor within the village. The only network
accessible is ‘Orange’.
