Holidays in North Cornwall fishing village


The North Cornish fishing village of Port Gaverne is situated close to the ancient fishing village of Port Isaac. It is typical of the traditional north Cornish fishing villages with many restored 18th century Cornish buildings which include cottages and traditional cob barns which were originally used by the local Cornish fishermen. The North Cornish fishing village of Port Gaverne has a hotel called the Port Gaverne Hotel which dates back to the 17th century.

The Port Gaverne north Cornish fishing village is steeped in history and is situated around a secluded cove on the dramatic north Cornish coastline. It is an ideal holiday location with the secluded beach and rocky shoreline to explore. There are many walks along the north Cornish coast where much of the surrounding countryside is owned and administered by the National Trust.

The North Cornish coastline is amongst the prettiest countryside in the United Kingdom. The coastline is very rugged and the traditional Cornish fishing villages are found nestled in secluded coves like Port Gaverne which is a stones throw from Port Isaac.
