Our Location

Unspoiled Port Gaverne has the advantage of enjoying a tucked-away un-commercialised location on the North Cornwall coast but we are still easy to find!

How to find us by Road:

From the A30, turn onto the A395. Then left at the T-junction as you meet the A39.

After 1 mile, turn right onto the B3314, signposted Boscastle, Delabole & Port Isaac.

Two miles after Delabole, turn right to Port Gaverne.

Port Gaverne developed in the nineteenth century as a slate, coal and limestone handling port where shipbuilding and pichard processing also took place - the large buildings have now all been converted into holiday accommodation.

Unspoiled Port Gaverne Slate from Delabole quarry was loaded from here into the heavy sailing sea ketches that were broad enough to rest upright on the beach between tides.

Port Gaverne consists of mainly holiday homes, but a few residents still remain.
